Uwc Law Modules 2021
We`ve provided a lot of information to give you an idea of how to get started as a law student at UCT. Recognition and exemption are granted only for courses taken at another institution if the faculty is satisfied that the courses are substantially equivalent to the courses offered at UCT, both in terms of content and standardization. These transferred students must complete the remaining courses prescribed for the LLB at that university over a period of at least two years. There`s a lot more information about what a UCT law student is and is – browse through, as well as information about the Law Student Council, which would be your spokesperson and representative at law school. 5. Where can I find information about all the courses offered by UCT? You may be wondering who is the dean of the faculty of law, or who is the academic staff (see the department pages above), or who you talk to in the faculty office. The Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 provides that the LLB is the universal legal qualification for admission and registration as a solicitor or solicitor. As a general rule, persons who wish to practise in private practice as lawyers must become members of a bar association by completing an internship with a member of the Bar Association and passing an entrance examination. Before being admitted to the bar, an LLB graduate must work as a trainee lawyer with a practising lawyer. Participation in a legal internship or performing community service can shorten the delivery time of items. After that, candidates take a professional examination determined by the relevant provincial law society. You may wish to inquire about the courses offered at the Faculty of Law – you can find all courses in the Faculty Handbook or on the websites of each of our three departments – Private Law, Commercial Law and Public Law.
